Frequently Asked Questions
What makes a good Content Management System?
As developers we ask ourselves this question on a regular basis to make sure the Cosmos product is as good as it can be. We are constantly developing and refining our product in response to user feedback, technological changes and increasing legislative demands.
There are lots of things to look for in a CMS, but in our experience, the following 3 features are must-haves:
Design Driven Templating – there should be no limitations on site design – the CMS should work around the design.
Custom Page Types – there should be the option to create custom page types, for example a “product” type with user defined fields such as price, colour, size.
Pluggable Modules – the ability to include extra functionality as required, including completely bespoke tools, developed on demand.
What’s the difference between Rendili Cosmos V4 and SBE?
Rendili Cosmos V4 has unlimited pages and folders as well as user and group management. Generally speaking, Rendili Cosmos is suitable for websites of 50+ pages.
Rendili Cosmos SBE comes with 50 pages and 25 folders and has only one user account. It also comes with a choice of 2 professional designs in a range of colours.
